- Oppression through digital media is growing stronger
- Largely due to the Stockholm syndrome exhibited by the population
- Digital control is continually promoted with all kinds of deception.
In the modern era, digitalization has become more than just a tool; it has become a system of civil death—an invisible prison whose walls will show themselves at the slightest resistance, condemning people to ostracism and the denial of services.
The relentless march of technology under the excuse of comfort, efficiency and connectivity, is a tale designed to hide that the impulse to digital is to dominate, to watch, and to suppress any genuine expression of autonomy.
The self-censorship
When someone dares to confront this reality - to reveal that digital infrastructure is a system built with the intention of imposing as normal surveillance, data mining and authoritarian supervision they discover that they are faced with hostility by the "society."
The typical answer? "Go live in the jungle" or similar expression is what you will hear as a common answer.
This derogatory rebuke highlights a profound misunderstanding, which stems from a false belief that technology offers solutions, this is clearly a Stockholm syndrome produced by propaganda.
Yet it inevitably leads many people to choose silence, self-censoring themselves.
The Consumerist Mentality
They believe that those who do not accept the digital gulag are simply "retrograde" and that retiring to nature would solve the problem.
This mediocre mentality is incapable of seeing the fact that Digitalization is being forcibly imposed on societies and cultures.
They do not understand that the real objective of digitalization is the destruction of freedom and privacy, where autonomy is supplanted by an arbitrary system of “permissions” which will condemn everyone to a panopticon, dependent on screens, algorithms and fingerprints.
The reach of digital tools
The digital system is an invisible fortress, cloaked as progress while trapping individuals in a network of dependency.
It eliminates privacy, autonomy, and the ability to act outside of its reach. It transforms human existence into a monitored asset - a state of constant vigilance where every movement, thought and preference is recorded and analyzed.
This continuous surveillance is not accidental; is the central mechanism of control, a means of shaping behavior and suppressing dissent.
The hostility of the conformist
The hostility of those who are blind or indifferent to this system is because of ignorance about the fact that digital oppression is a form of civilian death. Becoming accomplices to their own slavery.
They defend digital infrastructure as inevitable or beneficial, refusing to see that this same infrastructure has never been to facilitate absolutely anything, but is designed to make them vulnerable and dependent, so that ultimately, people can be easily exploited.
This hostility towards those who reject the panopticon is a defense of the system itself achieved by the persistent indoctrination of the media and institutions, in an attempt to silence dissent and defend the status quo.
A Society Mask
Ironically, many of the ideas they promote as a pretext are contrary to their behavior, they speak of consensus and dialogue but defend a closed system. They are consumers of an artificial and junk culture, but they believe it is an original and spontaneous manifestation of their "society."
They speak of their "democracy" but when they are exposed to the situation that is being built around them, they react by censoring, ignoring and condemning to expulsion. They defend cooperation but are hostile and antisocial when the oppressive reality of digitalization is being exposed to them.
All this underlines the dilemma of the so-called "society": the more they immerse themselves in digital control, the more difficult it is for them to recognize the chains that bind them.
To escape this digital oppression, then, would require a conscious of resistance - a deliberate choice to disconnect, to seek authenticity and to claim the privacy and autonomy that is being ruthlessly eliminated.
The manipulation that "power" needs
Corporations, institutions and any group of power interested in building this digital gulag, pursue those who dare to resist being reduced to data points with their digital identities. They seek to marginalize "nature enthusiasts", skeptics, those who have wisdom rather than repetitive intelligence.
These individuals are targets, labeled as Ludites, enemies of progress or any other kind of unfounded insult that they manage to wield against them by using social engineering.
It has even been known that the corporations themselves have promoted fake news, sites that present fraudulent content and exaggeratedly absurd, with the aim of ridiculing, to discredit criticism, justify censorship, and thus further their political ends.
In the end, the fight against digital oppression is a struggle for human dignity.
It is a challenge to break free from the invisible chains of dependency and covert control disguised as progress.
It's about recognizing that the real power lies in choosing not to be pawns of a game with the potential to subtly implement ostracism, the civilian death. It is about affirming the right to live outside surveillance and dependency networks.
